News of the day: Sudan edges back from oil showdown with South

The agreement to resolve disputes between North and South Sudan does not seem to succeed. After a long lasting disputeĀ  over oil transit fees, it is now a contention over rebelsā€™ support to increase tension between Juba and Khartoum. This article shows how oil is once more at the center of this contention, causing not only strong inconveniences to strategic partners, but also to the already fragile economies of the two newborn countries.
