A mining company in the northern territory has been fined by a court for damaging an aboriginal scared site. This is the very first time a mining company has been fined. It sets a fantastic precedent to help aboriginal communities throughout Australia protect their psychical cultural property against the wave of gas mining that will flood Australian for probably the next 100 years. The gas industry has come out and said that there is enough gas in the ground to power a city of 1 million people for 16,000 years. Aboriginal communities are suffering the brunt of this wave of mining as well as the pastoral community throughout Queensland. Hopefully, the courts might help aboriginal communities to stop that assault on their traditions not only from miners but also from reckless governments.
